What we do

Care that feels like home, because that's exactly what it is.

Children's residential care provides a place to live for children and young people who cannot, for a time, live with their families. Our respite homes give them a calm, settled environment with trained staff offering round the clock support, and give families the breathing space they need.

Homes we own

Our residential homes are our own. Small, settled, properly furnished houses on real streets. Not institutional. Not transitional. A home.

Staff we trust

We are building a team that is directly employed, fully trained, and DBS checked. Chosen for warmth as much as qualifications, so children see the same faces, the same routines, the same care.

Respite that holds

Planned short breaks for children aged 4 to 18. Time for the child to feel held. Time for families to rest. Continuity from one stay to the next.

What our care looks like

Small homes. Familiar faces. The quiet rhythm of a normal life.

Every child's stay is planned around their needs, not around a timetable. Mealtimes that feel like a family kitchen. Bedrooms they recognise on return. Staff who remember what they like, what they don't, and what makes them laugh.

A simple, careful process

How a referral becomes a stay.

We're talking with local authorities, social workers and family carers across Greater Manchester about respite placements ahead of opening. Get in touch and we'll walk you through what we're building and how it might fit a child you're working with.

01

Get in touch

An initial call or email from a social worker, local authority or family liaison. We'll talk through the child's needs in confidence.

02

Matching & planning

We assess fit carefully. The child, the home, the staff team, the timing. Nothing is rushed.

03

Welcome visit

A short, no pressure visit to meet the team and see the bedroom. Familiarity before the first stay matters.

04

Ongoing care

Regular respite stays with consistent staff. Reports back to social workers and parents after every break.

Common questions

What people often want to know.

What is children's residential care?
Children's residential care provides homes for children and young people who can't, for a time, live with their families. They live in small, regulated settings supported day and night by trained staff. It's different from foster care, where a child lives in a single family home with approved carers.
What ages do you support?
We provide respite care for children and young people aged 4 to 18.
What is respite care, exactly?
Respite care means short, planned stays. For the child it's a familiar, settled place to be cared for. For parents or carers it's time to rest and recover. Done well, respite is restorative for everyone, and we plan ours to be exactly that.
What are your standards of care?
We are working towards Ofsted registration and building our homes, policies and staff team to meet the standards required of all children's homes in England. We take safeguarding and quality of care seriously, and we're happy to discuss our approach and timelines with prospective referrers in detail.
Do you employ your own staff?
Yes. Every member of our care team will be directly employed by us, fully trained, and DBS checked. Consistency of staff is one of the most important things we plan to offer, so children meet the same faces every stay.
How do referrals work?
Most referrals come from local authority social workers and care teams. If you're a family looking for support, the first step is usually a conversation with your local children's services. We're always happy to talk things through.
